
CHICAGO (WBBM NEWSRADIO) -- For those planning on visiting Lincoln Park Zoo on the first day of fall, should try to see all the exhibits before 3 p.m.
Lincoln Park Zoo announced they will be closing at 3 p.m. Monday for an "emergency drill."
According to Chicago Police, there will be a joint training exercise at the zoo for the Chicago Police Department, Chicago Fire Department, Office of Emergency Management & Communications, and Lincoln Park Zoo.
The exercise was labeled as an "active threat exercise" and will "simulate an active threat incident occurring at Lincoln Park Zoo.
"The immediate area will involve a large presence of emergency personnel and vehicles, as well as simulated injuries and gunfire throughout the event," according to a 18th/19th District Community Alert.
The exercise will take place from 4 p.m. to 11 p.m.
