CHICAGO (WBBM NEWSRADIO) -- A man was robbed and then shot by a friend Thursday night in the Old Town Triangle on the North Side, police said.
A man, 29, invited his friend into his home in the 1700 block of North Sedgewick Street, near Eugenie Street, at about 11:40 p.m. The friend then stole a purse from the home, and as a the thief was walking out the man confronted him, Chicago police said.

The friend pulled out a gun and shot the man twice in the foot, police said. The shooter fled.
The man was taken to Northwestern Memorial Hospital in good condition.No one is in custody.
Area 3 Detectives are investigating.
