CHICAGO (WBBM NEWSRADIO) -- Misconduct allegations continue to circulate throughout Chicago Public Schools. This time it's at Mather High School, where two staff members and a volunteer coach were removed after engaging inappropriately with students, according to a letter sent to parents Friday.

In the letter, Mather High School principal Peter Auffant said there were three separate allegations involving the staff members that led to their removal.

“The district has removed the staff members from our school and blocked the volunteer coach from volunteering with Chicago Public Schools,” wrote Auffant.

Separate investigations have been initiated by the Office of the Inspector General and parents of the impacted students have been notified, school officials said.

It’s not yet known the names of the staff, what sport the coach was involved in, or what was the nature of the inappropriate conduct.

At Lincoln Park High School, more details are emerging from the allegations after parents and students pressured CPS administration for answers. CPS said continuing investigations have determined there were additional instances of sexual misconduct involving students and retaliation against witnesses.

The new information comes in the wake of the firing of top administrators at the North Side school and the suspension of the varsity boys’ basketball program for the remainder of the season.

Curie High School students and their parents want more answers and many said they do not believe the allegations against coach Oliver are true. They feel an investigation should have taken place into the alleged incident before the school fired the coach, who was in the position for 27 years.
