MILWAUKEE (WBBM NEWSRADIO) -- Coronavirus is postponing yet another major festival this year.
Milwaukee's long-running Summerfest will shift to the fall this year.
Officials announced Monday that Summerfest 2020 will move to new dates: Sept. 3-5, 10-12, and 17-19, in the interest of safety and in cooperation with artists - all because of the coronavirus.
Officials said the new dates provide the best possible option to deliver the Summerfest experience fans and sponsors have grown to love.
Those scheduled to perform at Summerfest 2020 included Justin Bieber, Luke Bryan, Sam Hunt, Khalid, Blink-182, Chris Stapleton, Dave Matthews Band, Halsey, Guns 'N Roses, and many more.
The Milwaukee World Festival, Inc. offices are currently closed. Should you have any immediate questions, please email info@summerfest.com
