CHICAGO (WBBM NEWSRADIO) -- A man who has robbed several Chase Banks in Chicago attempted to rob two more banks on Friday: one in Uptown and one in Skokie.
His latest heist happened in Uptown, according to the FBI. At about 2:10 p.m., he entered a Chase Bank at 1101 W. Lawrence Ave. and demanded cash, the FBI said.
Earlier at about 11:35 a.m., the same man entered a Chase Bank branch at 5200 West Dempster Street in Skokie, according to the FBI. The man left the bank without any cash.
The man also tried to rob a Chase Bank branch on Thursday afternoon, the FBI said. He entered the bank, at 3714 N. Broadway, in the Lake View East neighborhood, at 2:47 p.m. and left empty-handed.
The same man is also wanted for in three other robberies, all of them Chase Banks, in which he implied he had a weapon. They happened June 22 at 935 W. Armitage Ave., May 28 at 1055 W. Bryn Mawr Ave. and May 17 at 1934 S. State St. He has attempted to rob six Chase banks in total.
The FBI said the man, who is in his 20s and 6-feet tall, should be considered armed and dangerous. In Friday's attempted robbiers, the suspect wore large sunglasses, a North Face hooded sweatshirt and black pants.
A $1,000 reward is being offered for information leading directly to his arrest.
