CHICAGO (WBBM NEWSRADIO) -- The Naperville Police Department is searching for a man who tried to abduct a child from the back seat of a car Friday night.

Police said that at about 11 p.m., the man tried to pull the child out of the back seat of the car as the child's mother was getting ready to drive off from a night at an event at Rotary Hill park. The man could not remove the child from the car, and he ran off.

Neither the mother nor the child was injured.

The suspect is described as a white man in his 20s, with blonde hair, and a thin build. He appeared to be clean-shaven and was wearing a white T-shirt and gray shorts.
