CHICAGO (WBBM NEWSRADIO) --  Blackhawks legend Jeremy Roenick is getting a lot of attention on social media for lending a helping hand.

Former Blackhawks star Roenick met Shawn, 17, on Michigan Avenue after he saw the teen had no shoes or jacket. With a quick trip to Macy's  Roenick helped deck the kid out with some new threads.

Wow it’s been cold in the Midwest people need help --! Met Shawn today on Michigan Ave, a 17yr old kid wearing No shoes or jacket, so a quick trip to @Macys fixed his situation! I hope if you see someone that needs help you can help make a difference.----#Payitforward #BeTheChange pic.twitter.com/yJ9DMyQRTK
