(670 The Score) -- The Bulls will acquire 10-time All-Star forward Carmelo Anthony from the Rockets with the intent to part ways with him, ESPN's Adrian Wojnarowski reported.
Anthony is not expected to play in a game for the Bulls, though he may remain with the organization until the trade deadline, according to the report. The deal gives the Rockets salary cap flexibility while bringing the Bulls cash in return.
The 34-year-old Anthony played in 10 games this season with the Rockets, averaging 13.4 points per game. He has not been active since November 8.
The Bulls attempted to sign Anthony during free agency in 2014. He opted instead to sign with the Knicks.
