CHICAGO (WBBM NEWSRADIO) -- It has been almost six weeks since Doggy Dooz on Lincoln Avenue had its doors open. And owner Billy Rafferty said he’s ready to see his clients again.
“Lots of shaggy dogs and - I won’t - but we’ll probably have to use hedge-trimmers to get through them because they’ll be so long and bushy. That’s a joke, of course," Rafferty said.
Rafferty said ever since Gov. J.B. Pritzker cleared the way for pet groomers to open, he’s been busy getting ready - stocking gloves and masks. And trying to answer the phone.
“The phone just blew up. And the emails just blew up. And so I’m trying to get through that. I will - but it’s patience, please, everyone,” he said.
Rafferty grooms celebrities’ dogs - and just regular dogs. Or should we say, the great (Dane) unwashed.
