CHICAGO (WBBM NEWSRADIO) -- The Riverside Police Department is asking for the public's help, as authorities try to find a 53-year-old nursing home resident who disappeared Saturday evening at an outing to Brookfield Zoo.
Not long after a group from a Robbins nursing home arrived Saturday evening at Brookfield Zoo, Frederic Davis got into an argument with one of the caregivers, and Riverside Police Chief Tom Weitzel said Davis left the group.
Weitzel said the caregivers thought Davis would stay on the zoo grounds, but two-and-a-half hours later when he still couldn't be located, they called police to report Davis missing.
He said authorities believe Davis is probably in the city of Chicago.
Anyone with information or who knows the whereabouts of Fredric Davis, is asked to call the Riverside Police Department via the West Central Consolidated Communication Center at 708-447-9191.
