CHICAGO (WBBM NEWSRADIO) -- The search continues for a four-foot-long alligator that was first spotted in the Humboldt Park Lagoon on Tuesday.
Since then, local and national media has jumped on this story and the community is equally enthralled. People continue lining the banks of the lagoon hoping to catch a glimpse of the elusive gator.
The number of people lining the lagoon was not wuite as large as Friday afternoon as it was in previous days, but there was still a steady stream of people coming by to check things out and to stare out over the water looking for the gator.
Edwin Roman of the Northwest Side decided to stop by after visiting his mother, who lives nearby.
"It's crazy; there's a whole lot of people out here," Roman said.
He added it was fantastic to see the crowds enjoying the lagoon and coming out to see a community phenomenon.
