(WBBM NEWSRADIO) -- A woman was shot by a bicyclist Wednesday in the Fulton River District, just blocks from the Loop.
The woman was on a sidewalk in a crowd of people in the 200 block of North Milwaukee Avenue at 11:50 a.m. when a male rode up on a bicycle and fired shots, Chicago police said.

— Anthony Guglielmi (@AJGuglielmi) September 18, 2019Officers responded to a call of a person down and bleeding, and found the 29-year-old woman with a gunshot wound to the back, police said.
She was rushed to Northwestern Memorial Hospital, where her condition was stabilized, police said.
The suspect was described as a male on a bike wearing dark clothing, CPD spokesman Anthony Guglielmi said in a tweet.
Police released a photo of the suspect riding a bike while armed with a handgun. The alleged gunman's face appears to be covered.
