CHICAGO (WBBM NEWSRADIO) -- Health officials on Sunday said Illinois' seventh case of coronavirus has been reported in Chicago.

The Chicago Department of Public Health announced the latest case of COVID-19 in a statement, but provided no details.

Dr. Allison Arwady, the CPDH commissioner and Dr. Ngozi Ezike, commissioner of the Illinois Department of Public Health, are scheduled to appear at a news conference at 3 p.m. Sunday at the Office of Emergency Management and Communications, 1411 W. Madison.

Arwady and Ezike are expected to offer information about the new coronavirus infection and provide an update on the state's sixth case, an aide at Vaughn Occupational High School in Portage Park.

Students, staff and any visitors since late February have been advised to quarantine themselves at home for a week and a half after a case of coronavirus was reported in a staff member on Friday.
