Indiana Woman Killed In Crete Semi Crash

CHICAGO (WBBM NEWSRADIO) -- An Indiana woman died Thursday after a semi-truck t-boned her car in south suburban Crete.

The woman, 53, from Dyer, was eastbound in her Ford Fusion about 6:10 p.m. when she tried to cross Illinois Route 394 and a southbound semi slammed into her, Illinois State Police said.

The woman was pronounced dead on the scene, police said. The driver of the semi-truck was not injured.

Illinois State Police are investigating the crash.
