Man, 21, In Critical Condition After Jumping Into Monroe Harbor

CHICAGO (WBBM NEWSRADIO) -- A 21-year-old man is in critical condition after being pulled from Monroe Harbor in the Loop.

He jumped into the harbor at about 10:15 p.m. while walking along the lakefront in the 400 block of East Monroe Drive, Chicago police said. He struggled to get out until Chicago fire personnel and divers pulled him from the water.

He was taken Northwestern Memorial Hospital in critical condition, police said.
