
CHICAGO (WBBM NEWSRADIO) -- A 57-year-old man was seriously injured Tuesday in a hit-and-run crash involving a pedestrian in South Shore on the South Side.
At about 12:15 a.m., police found the man in the middle of the street in the 2300 block of East 79th Street, after being struck by a white vehicle that continued west on 79th Street after the crash, Chicago police said.
He was taken to the University of Chicago Hospital in serious condition with a head injury, police said. He has had his condition stabilized.
No arrests have been made, police said.
