CHICAGO (WBBM NEWSRADIO) -- A man who crashed his vehicle was taken into custody after allegedly threatening paramedics Thursday in East Side.
The crash happened at about 11:40 p.m. in the 10700 block of South Avenue D, Chicago police said. A 37-year-old man was driving a BMW eastbound on 107th Street when he struck a median and flipped the vehicle onto its side.
He was taken to South Shore hospital where his condition was stabilized, police said. The man was placed into custody for threatening paramedics on the way to the hospital.
His passenger, a 34-year-old man was taken to the University of Chicago Medical Center in critical condition, police said.
Charges are pending.
