CHICAGO (WBBM NEWSRADIO) -- A man was killed in a shooting Thursday in Lake View on the North Side, according to police.
About 4:14 p.m., the 53-year-old was in a vehicle in the 3700 block of North Ashland Avenue when a white SUV approached him and someone inside opened fire, Chicago police said.
The man was hit in the neck, and taken to Illinois Masonic Medical Center where he was pronounced dead, police said.
The Cook County medical examiner's office hasn't released details on the death.
No arrests have been reported. Area North detectives are investigating.
