CHICAGO HEIGHTS (WBBM NEWSRADIO) -- A motorcyclist was severely injured in a crash Tuesday in south suburban Chicago Heights.
Police were called at 2:12 p.m. for reports of the crash between a red Toyota Corolla and a yellow Yamaha motorcycle in the first block of West 16th Street, according to a statement from Chicago Heights Police Chief Thomas Rogers.
Police at the scene blocked off part of Chicago Road near the intersection with 16th. The Toyota could be seen in the parking lot of Pearson's Bakery, 1 W. 16th St.
The crash remains under investigation by Chicago Heights police and the South Suburban Major Accident Reconstruction Team.
