CHICAGO (WBBM NEWSRADIO) -- Chicago police are warning residents of a person who is stealing from parked vehicles in West Town on the Near West Side.
In each incident, someone broke the windows of a parked vehicle and stole items from inside, according to a community alert from Chicago police.

The thefts happened :
- At about 8:30 p.m. Aug. 27 in the 400 block of North Carpenter Street;
- Between 2 p.m. Aug. 28 and 9 a.m. Aug. 29 in the 700 block of North Sangamon Avenue;
- Between 5 p.m. Aug. 28 and 2 p.m. Aug. 29 in the 900 block of West Superior Street; and
- Between 5 p.m. Aug. 28 and 10:20 a.m. Aug. 29 in the 700 block of North Sangamon Avenue.
