Waukegan Man Rearrested On Gun, Drug Charges

CHICAGO (WBBM NEWSRADIO) -- A Waukegan man out on bond was rearrested Monday on gun and drug charges.

Quinten Wooding, 33, was taken into custody in the 3000 block of Arthur Court after a two-month narcotics investigation, the Lake County sheriff’s office said. He was already out on bond after an arrest in Zion for unlawful possession of a controlled substance with intent to deliver.

Officers raided Wooding’s home and found a semi-automatic pistol, over 15 grams of heroin packaged for delivery and over a gram of cocaine packaged for delivery, the sheriff’s office said.

Wooding was slapped with additional charges of unlawful possession of heroin and cocaine with intent to deliver, unlawful possession of a controlled substance, unlawful use of a weapon by a felon and being an armed habitual criminal, the Lake County sheriff’s office said.

Wooding is being held on $500,000 bond, the sheriff’s office said. He is due in court Sept. 20.
