
CHICAGO (WBBM NEWSRADIO) -- A woman is in custody after allegedly stabbing a man to death Friday in East Garfield Park on the West Side.
The woman, 24, stabbed the 26-year-old man in the chest at 9:13 a.m. in the first block of North Hamlin Boulevard, according to Chicago police.
Police did not immediately provide details about the circumstances of the attack, but said it was domestic in nature.
The man taken in critical condition to Mount Sinai Hospital, where he was pronounced dead, police said. The Cook County medical examiner’s office has not released details about the death.
The woman was taken into custody, police said. Area North detectives are investigating the death as a homicide.
