CHICAGO (WBBM NEWSRADIO) -- The families in several high-profile missing persons cases in the Chicago area have formed their own support group, and some members are getting together this weekend.
They call themselves the Community Cold Case Squad. The founding members share a sad bond: They are the loved ones of the missing.
Some of them disappeared the same year, 2007, like John Spira, who vanished near West Chicago.
His sister Stephanie McNeil is one of the members of the Community Cold Case Squad.
She said the support group is a means to getting the public's attention.
