(WBBM NEWSRADIO) -- A north suburban woman is accused of trying to kill another woman Monday afternoon in a north suburban forest preserve.
Aggravated battery and attempted murder charges were filed against 60-year old Marquette Owens of north suburban Ingleside.
Lake County Forest Preserve Police say Owens stabbed a woman who was walking with a child in the Grant Woods Forest Preserve in Ingleside.
The child, who is under the age of 10, was not hurt. The victim was taken to a hospital with injuries and is expected to survive.
No word on a motive. Owens was being held at the Lake County Jail on a $750,000 bond.
