(WBBM NEWSRADIO) -- A follow-up now to the death of a 16-year-old Joliet girl last summer.
Authorities have already ruled Lesly Reynoso’s death a suicide, and a 17-year-old male is charged with "inducement to commit suicide."
For two days, authorities searched for Reynoso before her body was found in the Des Plaines River.
Her death was called a suicide.
At the time of her disappearance, her father had said Lesly was last seen when she was picked up by another teenager who drove her to the Interstate 80 bridge over the Des Plaines River.
A 17-year-old boy is charged with inducement to commit suicide. According to the Illinois statute, this means providing “the physical means by which another person commits or attempts to commit suicide."
He was charged this past fall with the Class 4 felony.
The 17-year-old appears in court next March 4.
