
DEERFIELD, Ill. (WBBM NEWSRADIO) -- An 18-year-old man climbed onto the roof of a Catholic high school and fell through the skylight into the building on Sunday, police said.
According to police, the teenager fell through a skylight at Holy Cross Catholic High School, located at at 720 Elder Lane, in Deerfield, around 10:20 p.m. Sunday after crawling onto the school's roof.
The teen reportedly fell about 20 feet, although he was able to get out of the building on his own. The teen was transported to the hospital. The extent of his injuries are unknown.
Detectives are investigating the injured man’s “intentions,” police said.
The school was permanently closed in 2018, according to its website.
