
(WBBM Newsradio) — Two people were killed in a workplace shooting in Springfield on Friday morning, and the suspected gunman was later found dead, an apparent suicide.
The two male victims were fatally shot at Bunn-O-Matic, a coffee equipment company, police said. A third employee, a woman, was critically injured, authorities said.
The suspected gunman, Michael L. Collins, a 48-year-old man who was employed at the company, was later found dead in a vehicle in Morgan County, Springfield police told reporters. Collins is believed to have killed himself and knew the people he shot. The incident happened around 11 a.m.
