CHICAGO (WBBM NEWSRADIO) -- Illinois health officials said there are over 950 new coronavirus cases, bringing the total to just under 154,000 across the state since the pandemic's start.
The 954 cases are a slight decrease after seeing more than 1,000 new cases each of the last three days.
The Illinois Department of Public Health said there are also 20 new COVID-19 deaths and more than 1,300 people are reported to be in the hospital. Of the people currently hospitalized with the coronavirus, 311 are patients in the intensive care unit and 127 are on ventilators.
Illinois has 153,916 cases of the virus and 7,187 deaths in 102 counties.

A mobile COVID-19 testing station will be set up outside a suburban Chicago high school as the area sees an uptick in cases among younger residents.
The Chicago Tribune reported that the station is outside Lake Zurich High School's performing arts center.
