(WBBM NEWSRADIO) -- A pair of costumes used in the 1960s "Batman" television series is up for auction next month and could bring in between $150,000 and $200,000.

Owner John M. Azarian says the largely intact Batman and Robin costumes -- believed to have been worn by stars Adam West and Burt Ward, respectively, during the show's 1966-68 run -- must be sold as a pair. Acquired in 1995, the costumes marked the beginning of an expansive memorabilia collection that celebrates the 1960s shows Azarian enjoyed as a child.

"Among my fondest memories are my mother plopping me in front of the TV to watch Batman while she would prepare dinner for the family," Azarian writes.

Additional costumes and props from the "Batman" series, including the Bat-phone that was installed in the Batmobile, are also for sale. And the auction will include touchstone items from several other shows from the 1960s and 1970s.
