WOODSTOCK, Ill. (WBBM NEWSRADIO) – Apprehended: two donkeys wandering in rural McHenry County in northern Illinois.
The pair of animals was reported walking on a road, and deputies located them and returned them to their owners, the McHenry County Sheriff’s Department said in a tweet Tuesday.
The sheriff’s office said this was an example of a "less serious" call fielded by emergency dispatchers. The report came in around 2:30 p.m. Tuesday afternoon in a subdivision off of Greenwood Road in Woodstock, the sheriff’s office tells WBBM Newsradio.
You ever wonder about some of the calls our dispatchers take? One of less serious calls today was two donkeys walking down the road. While this might sound like an opening like to a bad joke, our deputies did locate said donkeys and were able to herd them home. pic.twitter.com/expCtvQJcv
