(WBBM NEWSRADIO) -- Lake County authorities say a woman has been shot dead in her home in Long Grove and a man is being questioned.
It was about 12:20 p.m. Monday when the Lake County Sheriff's office was called to the home in Long Grove. Sgt. Christopher Covelli says a 47-year-old woman had been shot and killed in the house on Tall Oaks Road.
"We are speaking with an adult male who was inside the residence when this occurred," Covelli said.
That man lived in the home with the woman, he said.
"There is no risk at all to the general public," Covelli said.
A gun was recovered at the scene.
