NEW YORK (1010 WINS) -- A woman has been rescued after spending the weekend stuck in the private elevator of an Upper East Side townhouse.

The woman, Marites Fortaliza, became stuck between the second and third floors at 48 E. 65th Street, on Friday, she told the FDNY.

The woman is an employee of the owner of the townhouse, which is owned by a billionaire investment banker from Arkansas.

The FDNY says firefighters forced the elevator open, after receiving a 911 call around 10 a.m. Monday.

The woman was taken to an area hospital where she was in good condition.

The elevator was last inspected in July, no violations were found.

The luxury townhouse is owned by Warren A. Stephens and his wife, Harriet Stephens, according to the Associated Press. He did not immediately respond to a message left with Stephens Inc., his investment bank based in Little Rock.

The Stephens family said in a statement, "The employee involved has been a valued member of the Stephens extended family for 18 years. The Stephens family is relieved and thankful that she is doing well in the hospital. A Stephens family member accompanied her to the hospital this morning and remains at her side. The cause of this unfortunate incident is being investigated and appropriate measures will be taken to ensure that something like this never happens again."

The cause of the elevator mishap is under investigation.
