The new Chicago Snowballs will hold tryouts next month, in search of extraordinary baseball players.
"We're all big fans of the Savannah Bananas and thought we should have something like that in the city of Chicago," says Chicago Snowballs Co-Founder and CEO Cherie Travis.
Dubbed "pro baseball's first co-ed sportstainment experience," the team is expected to bringing entertainment, circus arts, and America's pastime together in one two-hour show.
And in a few weeks, they're holding tryouts.
"We're looking for amazing ballplayers that have some special skills," says Travis. "In some of the applications we're already seeing, people have gymnastics skills, acting, singing."
Tryouts will be held each day from Jan. 5-9 at the Rosemont Dome.
The Chicago Snowballs' season opener is set for May 3rd, 2026 at Kerry Wood Field.
