CHICAGO (WBBM NEWSRADIO) -- Police are warning business owners in Lakeview to ensure their surveillance systems are working following a pair of burglaries in June.
In each case, the offenders entered the businesses after breaking out the front windows, removed property and ran from the location, according to a community alert from Chicago police.
The burglaries occurred in the early morning hours of June 4 in the 3400 block of North Halsted Street and June 6 in the 2900 block of North Lincoln Avenue, police said.
Two people wearing hooded shirts are thought to be involved in the incidents, police said.
