CHICAGO (WBBM NEWSRADIO) -- Lori Lightfoot is set to be sworn into office Monday morning as Chicago's 56th mayor.
Lightfoot becomes Chicago's first African-American, female mayor, as well as the city's first openly-LGBTQ mayor.
Although it is only her first day, it will a be a busy first day, starting with an inauguration ceremony beginning at 10 a.m. at Wintrust Arena.

Her first order of business as mayor is signing an executive order to city departments that they end the practice of giving aldermen prerogative over such things as licensing, zoning and permitting in their wards.
The inauguration is expected to end at noon, and then Lightfoot and her wife Amy Eshleman plan to host an open house from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m.
The open house is open to the public and no tickets are required.
