A 32-year-old Crete woman is facing multiple felony charges after allegedly shooting and wounding her husband.
She’s identified as Capricia Price.
Will County Sheriff’s deputies responded to a report of a shooting at the Price home on the 1100 block of East Goodenow Road.
There were five juveniles there. From toddler age to teenager. No parents.
And, the Sheriff’s Office says, there was evidence of a shooting and that a gun was recovered.
Soon after, police were notified that a woman had dropped off a man who had been shot in the chest at a hospital in Dyer, and left.
It was Price, according to the Sheriff's Office. She went back home and was arrested.
Her husband was transferred to a hospital in Chicago and is expected to survive.
Charges against Capricia Price include aggravated Battery with a Firearm and aggravated domestic battery.

On 07/28/26 at 1:05 p.m., deputies were dispatched to a home in the
1100 block of East Goodenow Road in Crete for reports of a shooting.
Upon arrival, deputies located five juveniles, ages toddler to
teenager, at the home. None of them were injured.
Deputies report evidence shows the shooting took place inside the home
and a gun was recovered on scene.
Preliminary investigation shows the suspect left the home with the
victim and around 1:26 p.m., a hospital in Dyer, Indiana notified the
WCSO that a male with a gunshot wound to the upper chest, had just
been dropped off by a female who then left the hospital.
The victim was airlifted to a hospital in Chicago to be treated for
his injuries and he is expected to recover.
The suspect arrived back home and was detained by deputies and brought
to the station to be interviewed.
The WCSO contacted DCFS and two case agents arrived to talk to the
children and take them to a nearby hospital as a precaution. The
children were then placed in the care of a relative.
Price was arrested and taken to the Adult Detention Facility where she remains without bond.
