1 dead, 6 injured in crash on Southwest Side

CHICAGO (WBBM NEWSRADIO) -- A crash on the Southwest Side Sunday morning killed one man and sent six other people to the hospital.

Chicago Police said the crash involved two black SUV's in the 4200 block of South Pulaski in the Archer Heights neighborhood. The incident occurred at 2:45 a.m.

One man was pronounced dead at the scene. Two other men and two woman were taken to were taken to Mount Sinai Hospital, where they were listed in critical condition, police said.

Another man was taken to Christ Medical Center in Oak Lawn, where he was also in critical condition.

Police later said that another victim, a female, was transported to Stroger Hospital in serious condition.

Police are currently investigating the incident.
