15-year-old boy shot after getting off Roseland bus: Police

CHICAGO (WBBM NEWSRADIO) - Police are investigating the shooting Tuesday night of a 15-year-old boy on the Far South Side.

The boy had just gotten off a CTA bus at 115th and Wentworth. It was just after 10 p.m.

Police said he was walking on the sidewalk when he was approached by someone who started firing at him. The boy was hit in the back. The shooter ran away.

The police report said the suspect was wearing all black clothing and a ski mask.

The boy was taken to Comer Children’s Hospital where he was in good condition.
