CHICAGO (WBBM NEWSRADIO) - Two men are dead after a shooting earlier this morning in Little Village on the city’s Southwest Side.

Chicago police said officers found two men with multiple gunshot wounds when they responded to a shooting near 28th and Sacramento, at about 2 a.m. The 27-year-old and 29-year-old men were pronounced dead at the scene, a soccer field in La Villita Park.

Police said no one is in custody in that case.

At the same time, officers responded to a crash less than half a mile away.

Police said three men or young men in one of the cars ran off, leaving three adults in the other car injured.

Two men were taken to the hospital in good condition. A woman was in fair condition. It’s unclear if the two cases are related.
