2 hospitalized after shooting at Chicago gas station, police say

CHICAGO (WBBM NEWSRADIO) — An early morning shooting sent two people to the hospital early Sunday morning on Chicago’s South Side.

Chicago police said a 26-year-old man and a 38-year-old woman were sitting in their parked car at a gas station in Armour Square shortly after 3 a.m. when someone started shooting at them.

The gas station is located near 27th Street and Wentworth Avenue.

Both people were shot in the hand and taken to local hospitals in good condition, officials said.

Area 2 detectives are investigating the shooting. No one is in custody.
