CHICAGO (WBBM NEWSRADIO) -- Chicago police are investigating after two rideshare drivers were tased and carjacked in two separate incidents Monday night.

According to Chicago Police, the carjackings happened within an hour of each other Monday night, one in Logan Square and the other in East Garfield Park about four miles away, and were carried out the same way.

The first attack occurred in the 2900 block of North Sawyer around 10 p.m., police said. A 56-year-old rideshare driver was tasered by two passengers, who then made off with his Toyota Highlander after the driver got out.

Later, around 11:15 p.m. in the 3500 of West Ohio Street, a 37-year-old rideshare driver was tasered in his neck. He gave up his Toyota Camry to two passengers, who took off, driving west on Ohio.

Both drivers declined to go to a hospital, police said. No one was in custody.
