CHICAGO (WBBM NEWSRADIO) - Police are searching for a gunman who fired shots at a CTA bus turnaround in the Auburn-Gresham neighborhood.

A 39-year-old male was standing in the turnaround near 79th and Halsted, at around 11:30 p.m., when an armed man approached. Chicago Police said he demanded the victims belongings, but when the victim began to run, the suspect fired several shots.


The victim was hit in the back and abdomen and is in critical condition at the University of Chicago Medical Center.

A second man, a 17-year-old, was also wounded. He suffered gunshots to the leg.

No one is in custody.
