CHICAGO (WBBM NEWSRADIO) - Members of a South Side gang are facing charges in relation to a 2020 shooting.
According to the indictment returned in Chicago’s U.S. District Court, 24-year-old Diontae Harper and 21-year-old Amonti McClure are charged with one count of murder in aid of racketeering.
The U.S. Attorney's Office said the two are accused of shooting and killing Paul Harris back in May 2020 while he was sitting in a vehicle in Chicago's Auburn Gresham neighborhood.
The pair allegedly did it to maintain and increase their positions in a Chicago street gang.
They're both scheduled for arraignment this week.
