2 teens shot in separate incidents on South Side, CPD says

CHICAGO (WBBM NEWSRADIO) - Two teenagers were wounded in separate shootings Wednesday night on Chicago’s South Side.

The first shooting happened at about 11:15 p.m., near 87th and Holland in Chatham. Chicago police said a 16-year-old boy was shot on
 in the leg. He was taken to the hospital initially in serious condition.

About an hour later and some two miles away, police say a 17-year-old boy was shot multiple times near 100th and Perry in Roseland.  He was listed in fair condition at the hospital.

No one is in custody in either case.

A witness in the second shooting told police the gunmen may have been in a white SUV.
