DUPAGE COUNTY (WBBM NEWSRADIO) - Authorities in DuPage County say a second person has now died after a drunk driving crash near Winfield a week ago.
As bail for 36-year-old Christine Brocious of Chicago Ridge was being set at $1.5 million, word came that a second person had died: 30-year-old Nastika Cukali.
She is the sister of 25-year-old Jorgo Cukali, who died last week.
Authorities say Christine Brocious's blood alcohol level was more than twice the legal limit. DuPage County prosecutors say late on the night of June 29, she ran a red light and crashed into the Cukalis' car.
Jorgo died the next day. His sister Nastika suffered a brain injury, broken neck and other injuries and was in a coma until her death.
