
CHICAGO (WBBM NEWSRADIO) - Three men on the South Side were wounded overnight by a drive-by-shooting.
According to Chicago Police, a group of people was gathered in an empty lot near 52nd and Princeton when a truck drove up and someone inside the vehicle began shooting at the group.
A 24-year-old man suffered a gunshot wound to the right cheek, police said. He was transported to University of Chicago Medical Center in good condition.
Police said a 21-year-old man was grazed in the back by a bullet. He refused medical attention.
A third victim, a 24-year-old man, suffered a graze wound to the eye. He too refused medical assistance, police said.
At this time, no one is in custody. Police said the victims did not wish to cooperate with the investigation, refusing to answer questions about the incident.
CPD Area One detectives have been assigned to the case.
