3 wounded in SW Side shootout, including 14-year-old boy: CPD

CHICAGO (WBBM NEWSRADIO) - Chicago police are investigating a shooting Thursday night in Gage Park on the Southwest Side that left a 14-year-old and two adults wounded.

Officers found a wounded 27-year-old man when they responded to a shooting near 55th and Kedzie, just after 9 p.m.

Paramedics took him to the hospital in good condition after he told police he was shot by someone in a blue van.

Police believe he was in a shootout with a 14-year-old boy and a 39-year-old man.

The child was taken to a different hospital in critical condition, initially with wounds to his torso and shoulder.

The man was in better shape, with a wound to his wrist.

Area One detectives are investigating.
