3-year-old boy dies after he was shot inside South Side home

CHICAGO (WBBM NEWSRADIO) — A 3-year-old boy has died after he was shot while inside of a home on the South Side on April 22, officials said.

The Cook County Medical Examiner's Office identified the boy as Laroyce Bolden.

Chicago police said he was sitting inside of a Calumet Heights home near 88th Street and South Euclid Avenue when he was struck in the face.

Laroyce was taken to Jackson Park Hospital and later transferred to Comer Children's Hospital in serious condition, where he later died, police said.

No one is in custody.
