31-year-old woman killed in West Loop hit-and-run: CPD

CHICAGO (WBBM NEWSRADIO) - Chicago police are looking for the hit-and-run driver responsible for the death of a woman over the weekend.

Police said the woman was hit and killed by a dark blue 2011 Cadillac SUV around 2 a.m. Sunday in the 1300 block of West Kinzie, in the Fulton Market area.

The Cook County Medical Examiner’s Office identified the victim as 31-year-old Aurea Gutierrez of the Hermosa neighborhood on the Northwest Side.

Police said the driver sped away in the Cadillac SXRS, with license plate number DV19629.

Anyone with information about the SUV or the driver is asked to call police’s Major Accident Investigation Unit, at 312-745-4521.
