4 in custody after stolen car crashes on Dan Ryan, police say

CHICAGO (WBBM NEWSRADIO) - Four people in a stolen car led police on a chase on the South Side Monday night that ended with a crash on the Dan Ryan Expressway.

Police said officers were following a white Infinity that had been reported stolen.  It started on the outbound Dan Ryan at 76th Street at about 7 p.m.

The car exited and then returned to the expressway, going inbound.
Police said the officers did not pursue the car.

A police helicopter was monitoring and state police were following when the Infinity crashed into a Honda SUV and all four of the occupants ran away.

Joe Sislow, the husband of the woman driving the Honda spoke to CBS-2.

"When she called me, she's like, 'I've been hit. I have no idea what's going on,” he recalled.

She was checked out by paramedics.The four who ran were caught nearby.

Police said they recovered three guns and charges are pending.
